An AMC is ongoing care for a live site — not a redesign.
What breaks without care
Plugins age, PHP versions change and backups go untested. Small issues wait until a busy sales day.
What a clear AMC includes
Update windows, backup checks, a support channel and monthly notes. Larger features stay out of scope until approved.
Next step
See AMC / Website Care or contact Alin Digital.
Agree maintenance coverage before buying a plan
Use the following worksheet to turn this article into an operating decision. It is a practical plan for a Bangladesh small business, not a claim about a particular client or an industry benchmark. Adapt it to your current workflow and constraints.
-
Inventory the theme, plugins, integrations and renewal owners. A support plan cannot maintain accounts nobody can access.
-
Separate scheduled updates, emergency response and new development. Ask which failures are covered and what response time means.
-
Test a restore on a separate installation and submit the contact form after updates. A backup existing somewhere is not evidence of recovery.
Write this before requesting proposals
Describe the current process, the failing step, the intended users and what a correct outcome looks like. Prepare representative test data so suppliers can demonstrate the same task. Ask separately about recurring costs, third-party dependencies and work excluded from support.
When to change the plan
Resolve missing access, failed acceptance checks or unclear team ownership before paying for the next stage. Use evidence from a small pilot. If scope grows, agree revised time and costs rather than relying on unsupported guarantees.
